Circa 1860, unique 18k yellow gold locket with a star detail made of rose cut diamonds and coral. It is on an 18k yellow gold chain with coral bead stations. The locket has its fully intact frames and glass on the inside. The locket has a sizeable (.40 ct) rose cut diamond in the bail and approximately .20cttw additionally in the star. The coral bead in the center of the star measures approximately 7.7 mm in diameter.
The locket measures approximately 2" long including the bail, and 1.25" wide. The chain has its original hand-engraved barrel clasp that is secure. It measures 16" in length. The coral beads on the chain vary very slightly in size but are about 3.5 mm to 4.5 mm in diameter.
Overall, the necklace is in impeccable condition, ready for wear. The overall weight of the locket and chain is 30.4 grams.
