Circa 1890 diamond crescent moon that was originally a brooch. The brooch findings have been removed, and a modern chain has been added to make it a necklace. The moon is 18k yellow gold and has 25 Old Mine Cut diamonds that graduate in size from approximately .01 ct up to .70 ct. The total weight of all 25 diamonds is approximately 6.5 cttw. They are well color matched at H-I on the GIA scale. They range from VS-SI in clarity. The moon measures approximately 3 5/8" tall and 1/4" at its widest. The modern chain is 14k yellow gold and is stamped as such. The necklace can be worn at a length of 18" or 20". It is in excellent condition.
